Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?

I was born and raised in Argentina. Just after college I met my husband (my french guy) and we moved to Barcelona, Spain, where we lived for about thirteen years. We came to North Carolina in July of 2014 where we now have our home sweet home.

Children and Ages?

I am a proud and grateful mom of two girls, 11 and 9 years old.

One thing people would be surprised to know about you…

I used to be an entertainer at kids birthday parties! It was my first source of income when I was in high school.

Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?

Definitely my mother. She has always been a great role model as a woman and mother. When you have children, a full time job, a house, and you are far from your family, everything seems so hard! She never hesitates to drop everything, take a flight and come to my side when I need her most. Thank you, Mom!

Favorite things to do with your kids?

Traveling has become a great experience for us as family. I feel we are making memories to cherish forever.

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world?

Gaby and Chic is focused on creating personalized indoor and outdoor themed party set ups that add a “WOW’ effect.  

When my two daughters came into my life, they filled my world with new colors and caused an explosion of inspiration.  My love of creating and decorating was reignited but there was a problem; I had trouble finding nice, quality, decorating items that fit with harmony and style just as I wanted.  So, I decided I had to do it myself.  

Many parties and events later, my dream emerged so “Gaby and Chic’ was born.  I had a vision that it would be possible to have something beautiful, fun, and amazing, yet comfortable and safe.  I am obsessed with the details because I think they make the difference between a party and something unforgettable; and because I believe that things made with love, even the smallest, are the most valuable.

My goal is to help others to make their celebration unique, unforgettable and stress free.

What does this community mean to you/How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?

I am SO thankful for this community! My neighbors and friends from our daughters’ school have been amazing! They have encouraged me and they have shared my business name and services. There is no better place where my business could work!
